I had the chance to experience Africa and had so much fun and now have so many fond memories of my trip.
I flew with South African Airlines and the staffs were very attentive and efficient, the meals and the on-board entertainment was also very good.

South African Airways Today you will arrive into Kasane Airport in Botswana. Botswana allows Australian Passport holders free tourist visas upon arrival, continue on to your lodge and check in for 1nt. The town of Kasane and your accommodation is on the banks of the Chobe River which flows lazily along the northern boundary of the Chobe National Park attracting some of the largest herds of elephant in Africa. Lunch will be served after check in followed by a Chobe River Cruise which is a highlight of any trip to the Chobe; here you can hope to see large herds of elephants and other wildlife as they quench their thirst at the end of the day Includes: Chobe NP entrance fee’s & sunset cruise on the Chobe River Overnight: Chobe Safari Lodge
DAY KASANE – NATA (BL-)
Today after breakfast there is time for an optional (own expense) game drive in the Chobe National Park. Later you depart from Kasane and delve further into Botswana travelling 310kms to Nata which is in the central District of Botswana where you will spend the night. This afternoon enjoy sundowners over the Makgadikgadi Pans. Includes: Entrance to Nata Sanctuary Optional Activities:Morning game drive on day (own expense) Overnight: Nata Lodge
Today you depart Botswana and cross the border into Zimababwe. A Visa for Zimbabwe can be purchased for $30USD upon arrival. After entering Zimbabwe you travel East to the Matobo National Park and your chalet accomodation for the next two nights is on the outskirts of the park This afternoon enjoy sundowners from the granite ridge overlooking the park. Includes: Entrance to Matobo National Park and game walks Overnight: Matopos Farm house.
DAY 5 MATOBO NP (BLD)
This morning you will visit World’s View and the historical site of Cecil John Rhodes’ grave. Unusual rock formations are home to an array of ancient bushman paintings which you will visit while on your game drive and walk. This area is also home to Zimbabwe’s rhino which you can hope to see on your excursion in the national park Includes: Entrance to Matobo National Park and game walks Overnight: Matopos Farm House
DAY 6 MATOBO NP – HWANGE NP (BLD)
Today after breakfast begin your journey back north to Hwange National Park. The famous park is named after a local Nhanzwa chief, Hwange National Park is the largest Park in Zimbabwe occupying roughly 14 650 square kilometers. Hwange is famed for its large elephant population. This afternoon you will visit the Painted Dog Conservation Centrebefore returning to your lodge for the night. Includes: Free entry to Painted Dog Conservation Centre, although donations are welcome Overnight: Miombo Lodge
DAY 7 HWANGE NP- VICTORIA FALLS (B-D)
Today you will wake up early to enjoy a half day of game viewing in an open 4WD. Your experienced guide will give informative talks about the wonderful fauna and beautiful flora that make up this magical ecosystem. Along the way you can hope to encounter various game species including impala, wildebeest, giraffe, buffalo, elephant and possibly lion. After lunch back at the camp you head north to the town of Victoria Falls, at this time of the year the flow of the falls is at its peak and is quite majestic to witness. The Falls, is neither the highest nor the widest waterfall in the world, though it is claimed to be the largest. This claim is based on a width of 1,708 meters and height of 108 meters, forming the largest sheet of falling water in the world. The falls’ maximum flow rate compares well with that of other major waterfalls Includes: Entrance fees to Hwange NP and to see the Victoria Falls, half day game drive in open 4WD game viewing vehicle Overnight: Pioneers Camp
DAY 8 VICTORIA FALLS (B-D)
Today you will continue on to your next area of accomodation, Lokuthula lodge. There are opportunities to white water raft on the mighty Zambezi River, bungi jump or take a “flight of angels” (own expense). DAY 9 VICTORIA FALLS – JOHANNESBURG – PERTH (Meals in Flight)
Today after a relaxed breakfast you will transfer back to Victoria Falls Airport to check in for the following flight.
